Family First Outcome: Your voices have been heard!

We received word that the Family Prevention Services Act H.R. 5456 (Family First) that was attached to the 21st Century Cures Act has been removed from this piece of legislation. Family First is no longer attached to the Cures Act.

In other words, your voices have been heard!

It is our hope that if Family First returns in the future that it will not contain the restrictions that limit the long-term placement of children in a residential setting. We believe that children deserve to have all options of care available to them.

THANK YOU for your calls, letters, emails, and most of all your prayers. We have seen God work in a mighty way!

To all of you who reached out to your legislators in Washington, please mail them a personal note of "thanks." We have provided a list by North Carolina county that includes their names, districts and mailing addresses below.

On behalf of the children and families whose lives have been forever changed through Baptist Children's Homes and other residential care organizations, we humbly thank you.
