Your gift brings Christmas Joy!

Updated: Dec 16, 2019

Six-year-old Noah and his 18-month-old sister Jessica lived in an unsafe home. The children arrived at BCH only days before Christmas wearing dirty clothes and their tummies ached with hunger. Their thin frames and sunken eyes were signs of malnutrition. The cottage parents drew warm baths and soaked the children until their fingers wrinkled like raisins. They were delighted when clothed in warm, fuzzy pajamas.

Noah was nervous at bedtime. “I’ve never had my own bed before,” he said. “Are there rats in the cottage?” “No,” his cottage mom assured. “Good,” Noah replied.

Can you imagine the peace and comfort Noah and Jessica felt? Can you imagine their smiles on Christmas morning as they woke to discover colorfully-wrapped presents waiting for them underneath a Christmas tree? As a Christmas sponsor, you bring Christmas joy to a child who has not known joy.

Please give to help the children in care now and to help the hundreds that will come in 2020. This is a critical time. Your gift is so important. It’s why a friend made a $250,000 gift challenge. You gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to the challenge total until January 31, 2020. Click here to give a gift.

Help bring joy to children who desperately need a safe, hopeful Christmas.
